Latest report according to the Metro is in the claim that Chelsea are on the verge of completing a deal for their transfer long-term target Alex Texeira.
The Premier league defending Champions are looking to bolster their squad for the second half of the season that has already commenced brightly for them. Since the appointment of Hiddink, Chelsea have not lost any match.
Texeira has been on the transfer radar of Chelsea since the days of Jose Mourinho but the sack of the Portuguese has not seen them giving up on the hope of signing the uncapped but very impressive Brazilian.
According to the Sun, Texeira has agreed to join Chelsea on a five year deal but talks are on-going over a transfer fee for him. He is rated at £32 million and it is within what Chelsea can pay for him.
The report has stated that talks between Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea are on-going and an announcement is expected to be made sooner.
Hiddink has been mandated to end the season in Champions League spot on the League log but he wants to increase his fire power in attack.
Texeira plays as an attacking midfielder but has been prolific this term for his Turkish outfit. He has scored 26 goals in 26 appearances in all competition for Shakhtar this term.
Although, Juventus and PSG are said to be interested in him, Chelsea are in pole position to land him following the advancement in talks for his signature.
